Designing lawn since 2006, Vaneeza Ahmad Ali introduced a new summer designer lawn collection for her pioneering brand Vaneeza Vlawn Prints through an exhibition at The Palm. At the exhibit, Vaneeza Ahmad showcased her latest lawn collection at a ramp show open to all of the exhibit attendees as an endeavour to showcase her prints and styles of stitching to all those looking to wear her lawn this summer. The Fashion viewing was styled by Saba Ansari of Sabs, with event management by Brandlogics and interior design setup by the creative team at The Palm Marquee. This year Vaneeza’s Lawn was an essence of a multi ethnic celebration of colour and design. Rich patterns of jamavar and bold representations of the psychedelic truck-art unique to Pakistan, has been incorporated as the latest statement of Pakistani fashion. The Topkapi and Shanghai brought colourful images from the glorious Ottoman and Orient eras. Inclusion of other ethnic impressions, crochet and lace introduced the current international ramp trends of summer 2012. The collections’ colour palettes ranged from oranges to lemon and greens; which have been identified internationally as the colours of summer 2012.
