The Sindh High Court Hyderabad Bench on Tuesday set aside Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decision of disqualifying Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) candidate who had won by-election from PS-53 Tando Muhammad Khan.
A two-member bench of SHC comprising Justice Aqil Abbasin and Justice Nisar Sheikh was hearing the petition moved by Wahida Shah, who had been disqualified by the ECP for torturing polling staff for two years.
The ECP had also announced by-poll in PS-53 on May 26.
During the hearing, Wahida Shah’s counsel Haider Imam Rizvi appeared before the court and gave arguments against decision of ECP. On this the court issued notice to ECP and other concern persons to appear before the court on May 15 and also ordered the cancellation of by-poll in the constituency.

  1. How can SHC can do that, Do you want to have this horrible person as your legislator. He humilated another human being. If she had done this in country where I live, she would have been taken to cleaners. Who know she may have even slapped her husband to death.

  2. This is a joke. The whole world saw what she did. I would not want such a person representing me in the assembly. What is the reasoning for giving a stay order? I hope the judges are not selling out!!!!

  3. This is a political decision, In Pakistan Judges have biased opinions. Corruption is prevalent in all walks of life.
