A direct link between Prime Minister Gilani’s younger son, Ali Musa Gilani and the award of the extraordinary Ephedrine quota to two Multan-based pharmaceutical companies has not been established and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) is misleading the court, people and media.
This was stated by Musa Gilani’s lawyer, Salman Akram Raja who briefed the media at the Prime Minister House on Monday about what he termed as efforts to implicate the PM’s family in a scam.
Though the case is being heard in the apex court, the lawyer used the umbrella of the PM House to refute what is being attributed to Musa Gilani in the Ephedrine scam. Musa Gilani was also present on the occasion.
Raja said Brig Faheem of the ANF had quoted a statement in his affidavit to the SC, of the then Health DG Rashid Juma who had claimed that Musa Gilani had asked him during a phone call to award the extraordinary quota of the substance.
Raja said there is no other mention of Musa in the challan or in the evidence.
He stated that Rashid Juma’s statement was yet to be corroborated and termed it an ‘idiocy’. He said the allegations were leveled against Musa as a result of the clash between Rashid Juma and Health Secretary Khushnood Akhtar Lashari.
He added that the brother of one of the owners of the pharmaceutical companies was at one time, serving under Rashid Juma.

  1. Salman Akram Raja the lawyer of Prime Ministers son Musa Gilani must know that the matter is in the supreme court. As such he is not supposed to discuss it outside the court room. This shows the respect this lawyer has for Pakistan's Apex Court.
No matter whatever the PM or members of his family say, people of Pakistan know very well that they are on a mission of emptying the treasury. God help Pakistan.

  2. What you expect from a person who has been brought up on a money (h@ram) that was not their.
