President Asif Ali Zardari has said that if the three political parties, the PPP, MQM and the ANP, join hands in Karachi, there was no reason why they could not confront and defeat the menace of lawlessness and the targeted killings in the metropolis.
He also directed for setting up a committee comprising of representatives of PPP, ANP and MQM to have constant liaison with Home Minister Sindh and the Chief Minister Sindh to remove any misgiving about the operation against the law breakers, extortionists and the target killers in the metropolis.
He said this while chairing a meeting of the allied parties that was held in Bilawal House Karachi on Monday.
The President said he has knowledge of every single minute happenings in Lyari, a stronghold of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). He said that criminals in the metropolis should be identified and indiscriminate action should be taken against them.

The President emphasized that it was the shared responsibility of all the political parties to help restoring complete order in the metropolitan city and to bring culprits to books.
The President directed that all steps be taken to protect lives and property of the citizen and strict action be taken against violators of law and order regardless of any consideration.
Talking to media after the meeting , ANP Sindh President Shahi Syed said the meeting discussed exclusively Karachi’s situation. He said peace cannot be established in the city until fresh constituencies are made on the basis of new census.
Look who is in the meeting chaired by the President. Only an insane can believe that an 'indiscriminate action' will be taken. Look who attended the meeting. Ishrat Ibad the permanent governor of Sindh but not really. He is governor of Karachi. He is running a parallel government. He is tipping off thugs before the law enforcement agencies try to arrest MQM thugs. Look who else is attending. Babar Ghari and haggard looking Farooq Sattar. Qaim Ali shah should be in the forefront but he is good for nothing.
So far Asif Zardari continues his policy of 'reconciliation' and keep MQM on his side at whatever cost peace will never return to Karachi.
In essence the meeting was just a farce.
Indiscriminate action would mean first of all hanging this pathetic scum of a man. Zardari only cares for himself, cannot wait to see him hanged.
'MQM to have a constant liason with the home minister'.
What a joke. Can you imagine liaising with the home minister to get his terrorists
arrested.
Forget about the peace in Karachi. Federal Interior Minister just waffles and sends hollow warning shots to the terrorists and Asif Zardari has no qualms what is happening to Sindh.
