Police after culprits involved in looting luggage

The Koral police have been directed to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) against those involved in looting the luggage and expensive items of the victims of plane crash.
“I have directed Inspector General of Islamabad Police to lodge an FIR against culprits who allegedly collected jewelry and other belongings of victims from the site of Bhoja Airline Plane crash,” said Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
He was talking to media person here on Sunday after presiding over a meeting. It is relevant to note here that a number of local people were seen collecting luggage and ornaments form the charred body parts of the women lying at the crash site.
Talking to Pakistan Today a senior Police officer said that It has come to the notice of police that some people were seen looting the belongings of victims. “We are after them and hopefully we will arrest them soon”, the officer added. However, despite the interior minister’s directions, till the filing of this report no FIR was registered. When contacted duty officer of Koral Police Station said, “Senior officers were consulting to lodge FIR against the culprits and hopefully after short while the FIR will be registered,” he said.
Meanwhile, Investigation to determine what caused the crash of plane has also begun and a team of experts on Sunday visited the crash site. The team headed by Group Captain Sardar Ilyas is probing on technical grounds. This team would investigate on technical basis so as to help stop happening of such incident in future.
“We are also investigating about the low flying of flight and its loud sound before being crashed,” said an expert engaged in probing the incident. The wreckage of the ill-fated flight is still lying on the site. On Friday, a plane of Bhoja Airline coming from Karachi to Islamabad crashed just three kilometer away from its destination-Benazir Bhutto Airport. It was carrying 127 passengers and crew and accident killed every one on the board.
