The government is paying no heed towards sufferings of overseas Pakistanis and embassy officials adopt step-motherly attitude when they visit for visa or any other purpose regarding legal documentation. This was stated by Pakistani government honourary investment council Javed Nawaz and other speakers, representing the countrymen residing abroad during a seminar here on Sunday. They said Pakistanis staying in different countries across the globe annually send millions of dollars for families and relatives back home increasing country’s foreign exchange but government has taken no step to protect their rights. The speakers complained against embassy officials for not providing accurate information and accused them of demanding bribes for preparing legal documents. They demanded the federal government and Overseas Pakistanis Ministry for legislation to give protection to countrymen residing abroad.
