International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Rector Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik said on Monday that feudalism was the main hurdle in providing justice to the society. Malik was addressing a seminar organised by the Islamic Research Institute, Islamabad on ‘Domestic Violence Bill-A Legal and Shari’ah Analysis’. Professor Malik said the provision of the justice to all segments of the society was the hallmark of Islamic teachings but the Pakistani society was deprived of the benefits of justice due to the feudal system. About women’s subjugation he said it was the duty of all Muslims to read the Quranic teachings from a fresh perspective. Islamic Research Institute Director General Dr Muhammad Khalid Masud, National Commission on the Satus of Women Legal Expert Riffat Butt and a number of scholars also addressed the seminar which was a part of the 24th annual cultural week of the IIUI.

  1. No doubt about it, this system is fine but only up to the tribal and remote areas where their local issues are concerned.
It should not be implemented on to the Government policies and regulations where Pakistan's development is stopped due to such system and whole society is at stake
