Criticizing the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for rejecting the three-man inquiry commission into Bhoja Airline, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik termed it a disastrous cover-up and said that the opposition should avoid doing politics on bodies.
While talking to reporters at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, he pledged that the investigation would be carried out in a fair and transparent manner and would be made public. “We will thoroughly investigate the crash, no matter whosoever is involved”, he said.
“The Nawaz Sharif government issued licence to Bhoja Airline in 1992, violating all rules and regulations”, he said.
Malik also claimed that Airblue, whose plane had crashed in Margallah Hills some two years ago, is owned by a PML-N MNA.
Malik said the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) would not be further investigating into the air crash, adding that FIA authorities had been directed to provide all out information to government-formed judicial commission mandated to probe the fatal incident.
