The lawyers of the federal capital on Saturday observed strike to protest a murder attempt on former IDCBA Vice President Raja Faisal Younas Khan. A meeting of the Islamabad District Court Bar Association (IDCBA) was held here with its President Syed Javed Akbar Mashadi in the chair. Besides the IDCBA office bearers, the meeting was attended by Syed Nayab Hassan Gardezi, president of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association. Raja Faisal Younas Khan, speaking on the occasion, alleged that Faisal and his brother were attacked at the behest of a real estate tycoon. The police had been informed of the murder attempt, but no FIR had been registered against the accused, he added. Mashadi urged the authorities concerned to apprehend the accused.
