Simon Cowell has admitted that he is embarrassed by juicy revelations about his personal life in his unauthorised biography. The ‘X-Factor’ boss is said to be “hardly sleeping” following the publication of journalist Tom Bower’s book-which reveals details of a seedy one night stand and an affair with former ‘X Factor’ judge Dannii Minogue. Speaking to TMZ Live, Cowell says he feels “not gentlemanly at all” as details of the yet-to-be released book-‘Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell’ – hit the headlines. The 52-year-old star insists it is not his style to “kiss and tell” but said: “When you are with someone for a long time, they do get stuff out of you”. Cowell says he decided to let Bower have personal access to him after taking advice from his pal Bernie Ecclestone, who was also the subject of an unauthorised Bower book. As Simon put it during his chat with the tabloid: “If someone is going to write an in-depth book on you, I want him to really understand, you know, how I work, so (he would) have a clear understanding when writing the book.” But as the revelations about his personal life hit the headlines this week, Cowell seems to admit a degree of regret. “What I would say about the book, and I have to say this, is that I’ve been very embarrassed actually this week. It’s not my habit to kiss and tell. I’ve never done it. I’ve always tried to keep my private life private, and it is unfortunate. So I was feeling very embarrassed and not gentlemanly at all this week because it’s just not my style. At the same time, the guy’s got the right to write the book he wants, but it has been uncomfortable to be honest with you,” he added.
