PIA to airlift bodies of plane crash victims free of charge

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) air lifted dead bodies of the victims of the Bhoja Air plane from Islamabad to Karachi on Saturday free of charge.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed Rawalpindi Commissioner that relatives of the victims of plane crash should be stayed at Punjab House in Rawalpindi and Islamabad and all their food and other needs be met. He said there should be no complaint whatsoever by the relatives of the victims.
PIA Managing Director Rao Qamar Suleman also said that PIA would airlift the dead bodies to Karachi and other cities, where the airline operates free of cost.
He said PIA considers it a national duty to help the countrymen when they are in difficulty.
Rao Qamar Suleman said the PIA would also make arrangements for the cost of stay of relatives of the plane victims in Rawalpindi/Islamabad till the dead bodies were handed over to them.
While most of the bodies have been identified and handed over to their relatives, DNA tests would be carried out on the bodies who could not be identified and this process would take more than a week to complete, hospital sources said.
