The Islamabad chief commissioner has approved setting up of two new police stations in the capital.
The new police stations will be set up in Bani Gala and Lohi Bahr Islamabad. The chief commissioner issued separate notifications to establish the new police stations.
Earlier, there were 16 police stations in the capital. Their strength has now risen to 18.
The jurisdiction of Koral and Sihala police stations in rural zone has been changed with the setting up of Loi Bher police station.
According to the notification, the limits of Loi Bher police station will be Korang Town, Pakistan Town, PWD Housing Society, National Police Foundation, Doctors’ Town, Swan Garden, Media Town, CBR Town, Aghush Town, Behria Town Phase 2 to 5, Sihala Khurd, Japan Road, Nai Abadi Marzian, Dhoke Road, Ganghota Syedan, Har Do Geher and Jandaia.
The new jurisdiction of Koral police station will be Khana Dak, Ghori Town, Gangal, Koral Sanam Town, Tarlai Khurd, Army Camp Malal Kas, Tarlai, Kallan Chapper, Meer Khanal, Soudaran, Gohra Sardar, Alipur, Pungran, Pir Baa Noor, Partal, Jhang Syedan, Chanal, Bura Bangial, Kanger, Darwala Itiali, Kirpa, Panwal, Pind Dayian, Hran Maira, Bhoker, Loi Bhair, Chucha, Jinah town, Sher Bhamial, Dhalyala, Dhok Ratta, Khatreel, Hussainabad, Paija, Bhimber Trar, chain, Pind Malkan, Sigga, Dhery Mochian, Pindori Syedan, Pindori Hathial, Ghora Mast and Bagh Jogioan.
