The Rotaract Club of SZABIST Karachi Midcity (RCoSKM) recently organised ‘Aik Minute’, which was a prototype of ‘Minute to Win It’, one of AXN’s live shows.
Everyday household and office items were used to test the contestants’ skills at using their presence of mind to accomplish the goals set for them.
There were a total of 10 games over an entire duration of six hours. Nine teams were accepted in the competition, with a total member quantity of five members each.
The performance of each team was judged according to the skill with which time was managed per team.
The judging criterion for the competition was how fast each team or their members per game managed to complete the tasks assigned to them in the time duration of one minute. The team who bagged the winning prize of Rs 10,000 was from SZABIST.
According to the President of the RCoSKM, Mujtaba Jaffar, “I have never witnessed such enthusiasm and zest among students like I have witnessed today. Surely, my team’s hard work has paid off well.”
The RCoSKM focuses on the development of young individuals as leaders in their communities and workplaces.
Its three significant objectives are international development, professional development and community services.
The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men and women to enhance the knowledge and skills that would assist them in personal development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote better relations between people worldwide through a framework of friendship and service.
