Students of Girls High School Chak Beli Khan and their parents have strongly protested against insufficient building and lack of science teachers in the school.
This school is located in the constituency of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, but its building is so small that it cannot accommodate students and it also runs short of SS teachers, Mathematics teachers, PTI and Science teachers. There are 190 students studying in class 9 and 188 in class 10, but no science teacher has been appointed in these two classes so far. “We are now forced to leave science subjects due to non-induction of any science teacher as we don’t want to lose our academic year, said a group of students.
As many as four rooms have been allocated for primary portion while 260 students are studying in every primary class which has five sections.
Nonpayment of profit on saving certificates protested : Citizens have protested against discontinuation of payment of profit on saving and defence saving certificates by post offices.
“Our certificates have matured as we purchased these 10 years earlier, but payment of profit is not being made since long. We are government employees and it is only saving we have made to meet our requirements but nonpayment of profit on these certificates has added to our economic woes,” said a group of government employees. This is due to cold war going on between Pakistan Post and National Savings Department as the latter is not releasing saving and defence saving certificates to the former, said a citizen.
