The National Rose Society has awarded first prize to the garden of Radio Pakistan declaring it the best among the government institutions in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The society holds flower competitions every year and awards prizes to the winners. Radio Pakistan has been winning different prizes in various categories for the past 20 years.
The judges of society visited the garden of Radio Pakistan on
April 12. Radio Pakistan also won second position in cut-flower competition held at Islamabad Club.
According to Shaukat Ali Bilal, the head gardener of the organisation, the Radio Pakistan garden has flowers of over 300 varieties.
Director General Murtaza Solangi and other staff members of Radio Pakistan congratulated the gardener and his team on their success.
