Punjab Skills Development Fund to be extended: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, has directed that after the success of Punjab Skills Development Fund in four districts of the province, its scope be extended to the entire province and Chairman Planning & Development should submit his recommendations within seven days in this regard.
He said this while addressing a meeting held with regard to review the performance of ongoing programs under Punjab Skills Development Fund in various districts.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz said that promotion of technical education is the need of the hour for eliminating unemployment and Punjab government is pursuing a comprehensive program in this regard. He said that Punjab Skills Development Fund is an important step towards this direction and the ongoing programs in various districts under this fund has yielded positive results. He said that keeping in view these results, it has been decided that the scope of this program be expanded to all districts of the province. The CM said that not only poverty and unemployment will be eliminated through this Fund but the skilled manpower will also play an important role in the economic development of the country.
