10 killed in Karachi violence

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in separate incidents of firing across Karachi, officials said on Wednesday. According to police, five incidents of killings were reported in North Nazimabad, while firing incidents also occurred in PECHS, Ranchor Line, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and SITE areas of the city. Some unidentified armed men opened fire on a hotel in North Nazimabad, resulting in the killing of the three people and injuries to two others. a hotel near Pahar Ganj roundabout in Shar-e-Noor Jahan police limits, killing the hotel owner, Allah Dost, his son and a worker, Muhammad Abbas.
The North Nazimabad SP said it was an incident of targeted killing.
Meanwhile, two dead bodies were found from Memon Complex area of North Nazimabad.
Vice Principal of Jinnah Polytechnic Institute, Imran Zaidi, was also killed when unidentified people opened fire on his car near the Matric Board Office late on Tuesday.
A guard was killed in SITE area of the city when unidentified people hit him with a rod on his head.
A woman was shot dead and her husband injured for offering resistance during a car-snatching bid near Jheel Park in Tariq Road area.
Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan has taken notice of the current violence in the city and directed Sindh Additional IG Akhter Gorchani to report to him regarding the incidents.
