The commission probing the bizarre controversy of writing a memo deferred the further hearing till April 26 but most observers feel that even that date would result into nothing but a further delay if video link request of Husain Haqqani is not granted. In a related development that could send shockwaves to various conspiracy theorists, Haqqani also surrendered his privacy rights and wrote to RIM to provide data of his blackberry communication with Mansoor Ijaz, American businessman of Pakistani origin and analysts maintain the decision would have been made after much meditation with no adverse outcome for Haqqani possible. The aim could well be to show the world he has no skeletons to hide. His supporters say the belated move is deliberate as Haqqani wanted the dust to settle down and initial commotion over until things were seen in their true perspective. After waiving his privacy rights Haqqani is now willing to take up the battle for his right to equal treatment with the other witness in the case, Mansoor Ijaz who had been allowed to record statement via videoconference.
