Senator Mir Hasil Bazenjo said since sixty years, the people of Punjab were being wrongly propagated about Balochis that they were traitor and the same propaganda was in Balochistan against Punjabis that they were eating the resources of the country. He said the establishment was causing harm to Pakistan but unfortunately that responsibility had wrongly been associated with Punjabis through propaganda. He said none of the five movements launched for the rights of Baloch people were for the freedom of Balochistan. He said Punjab was the province who faced maximum discriminations in the last 60 years. He said after the killing of Nawab Akber Bugti, some young Balochis started killing Punjabis, a move that was widely condemned. He said Punjabis residing in Quetta were in large number.
Kaleem Ullah Baloch said the problems of Balochistan were not created by Balochis and that was the responsibility of the state to organise its machinery. He said that the decisions regarding Balochistan were taken without taking local leadership into confidence.
Mowahid Hussain said the problem of Balochistan was a problem of national unity and the poor and corrupt leadership had worsened the situations. Political analyst Asad ur Rehman said understanding of the history of Balochistan was a must to resolve its problems. Gen (r) Javed Iqbal said the civil government of Balochistan should use 14 billion rupees given in “Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan” and if the government did not consume it, then the people should ask their Balochi rulers about it. He said that a main problem was that there was a lack of knowledge of the psychology, geography and culture of Balochis. He said the problems of Balochistan could be resolved through political, legal and social thinking instead of military thinking. He said Balochis should join Balochistan police and levies to improve law and order situation in Balochistan.
