Meanwhile, a two-person painting show by Sumera Jawad and Faraz Ali concluded on Tuesday. It featured an amalgamation of abstract femininity and real expressions. The display of 17 exquisite art pieces focussed on the medium of oil on canvas by Sumera Jawad and mixed media by Faraz Ali to capture diverse themes for introducing unique artistic skills to the art lovers of the federal capital. Sumera Jawad, a graduate and teacher at the Punjab University explored various forms of femininity as depicted through the ages in the realm of art. Her broad brush strokes evoke a strong sense of confidence and vulnerability. Red colour dominates her work, producing a riot of contrasting tones. Her work is impressionistic and contemporary.
