Parks and Horticulture Agency (PHA) will remove paper mulberry trees from the Rawalpindi city areas.
A survey has also been launched to assess the number of paper mulberry trees in the city.
PHA Managing Director Mushtaq Ahmad said the survey team has identified paper mulberry trees in various localities and after the completion of the survey, measures would be taken to chop these trees.
He informed that after the final report of the survey will be submitted, extensive operations will be launched to remove all these trees.
The PHA is making efforts to develop green belts and greenery in the city. If any paper mulberry tree (pollen allergy tree) is found in the greenbelts, or off the premises of the government and private departments, the PHA will remove them, he added.
Are those the Broussonetia Papyrifera trees and is there any way I can have some sent to Hawaii? Can you put me in touch with someone from Parks and Horticulture?
thank you
