There’s news for all who were busy speculating the screening of the first look of Madhur Bhandarkar’s controversial yet ambitious project ‘Heroine’ at the Cannes International Film Festival. Madhur, his lead actress Kareena Kapoor and others associated with the film are extremely tied up with work hence they wouldn’t be able to make it to the prestigious annual event. The filmmaker took to Twitter to clear all rumours and wrote, “Media reporting that 1st look of #Heroine is going to be launched in Cannes are baseless.(sic). Me, Kareena & the whole team are busy shooting #Heroine through the whole month of April & May, so no question of visiting Cannes(sic),” he added. Buzz had it that Kareena and Aishwarya Rai (previously signed for ‘Heroine’ and eventually replaced owing to her pregnancy) might clash at the Cannes. Reportedly, post the ‘Heroine’ controversy, the two actresses haven’t been able to see eye-to-eye. But now that Madhur has put all rumours about the appearance of ‘Heroine’ at the Cannes, a major confrontation has possibly been averted.
