University of Sindh’s national conference kicks off on 16th

The University of Sindh’s Islamic Studies Faculty, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), is organising a two-day national conference on the role of Sufis in international religious harmony and tolerance from April 16 at the Sheikh Ayaz Auditorium of the varsity’s Allama II Kazi Campus in Jamshoro.
Islamic Studies Faculty Dean Dr Sanaullah Bhutto said on Saturday that Federal Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah would preside over the inaugural session of the conference, whereas Sindh minister Makhdoom Jameeluz Zaman would be the chief guest on the occasion and Sindh Assembly member Mohan Lal would attend the session as the guest of honour.
Prof Dr Muhammad Baqir Khan Khakwani from the Allama Iqbal Open University would be the key speaker at the inaugural session.
The second session would be presided over by University of Sindh acting vice chancellor Dr Parveen Shah, whereas Sindh Assembly member Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro would be the chief guest.
Dr Mahmoodul Hassan Arif from the University of the Punjab, Prof Dr Ahmed Jan Alzahri, Prof Dr Ikramul Haq Alzahri, Dr Abdul Hayee Abro from the International Islamic University, Dr Sanaullah from the Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamic Research Centre Director Dr Abdul Qudoos Saheeb and Prof Dr Abdul Raoof Zafar from the Bahauddin Zakaria University-Multan would be the speakers of the session.
The third session would be presided over by Pakistan People’s Party Sindh Secretary General Taj Haider, whereas Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palejo would be the chief guest.
Dr Muhammad Ferozuddin Shah from the Sargodha University, Dr Abdul Razzaq Ghanghro from the Mehran University of Engineering & Technology and Muhammad Ibraheem Muhammadi from the lslamia Government Postgraduate College-Dera Ghazi Khan would be the speakers of the session.
On the second day of the conference, the first session would be presided over by Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri, whereas Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s Sajdah Nasheen Syed Nisar Ali Shah would be the chief guest.
Prof Dr Abdul Ali Achakzai from the Islamia University-Balochistan, Dr Aziz Rehman Saifi, Dr Syed Shaheen Shoaib, Prof Mufti Sanaullah and Dr Saeed Ahmed Siddiqui from Karachi would be the speakers of the session.
The second session would be presided over by University of Sindh former vice chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui, whereas Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Vice Chancellor Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput would be the chief guest.
Dr Hafiz Abdul Raheem Khan from the City College-Karachi, Dr Abdul Hayee Madni from the NED University and scholars from the University of Sindh would be the speakers of the session.
