Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Saturday said the solution of all problems faced by the people of south Punjab rested in the formation of a Seraiki province, claiming that the opponents of the new province wanted to oust him.
Addressing a public gathering in Alipur area of Muzaffargarh district where he inaugurated a gas supply project completed at a cost of Rs 142 billion, Gilani said problems of the Seraiki region could not be addressed unless a chief minister from the area was put in place. He said he was offered to change loyalties while in jail, but he ruled out any power that lacked support of the people.
He emphasised that politics of revenge had been buried forever, adding that the government had completed its four year with the support of people and would also complete its tenure and present the fifth budget to relief the masses.
The prime minister said the next budget of the democratically elected government would have incentives for the masses and there would be a programme to resolve the energy crisis and create 100,000 jobs for the people.
Gilani said President Asif Ali Zardari had come to Multan not on his desire but at the desire of the people of the area and to assure the Seiraki people that they would get their due right.
The PM announced a number of development projects. He assured making Alipur Jatoi a tax free area, announced Rs 100 million for roads, the establishment of a technical college and Rs 50 million for village electrification.
He directed PASSCO to purchase all wheat from farmers and announced two buses for Alipur College and establishment of an Information Technology campus, as well as Rs 1 million for the press club.
Gilani also met members of parliament belonging to DG Khan Division and said there had been no political prisoner during the four-year tenure of the democratic government. He said work would soon begin on the doubling of the DG Khan-Multan Road.
Everyone wants you out STUPID!!!
Make that everyone wants you hanged.
You are so right.
PM's statement "Opponents of Seraiki Provinces" sounds like a new development to me. Does it mean that PPP has decided to have new Seriaki provinces by dividing Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KPK? How can Karachi remain silent then? There will many one-city provinces in Karachi or violence all around. Remember, this fuel is added to the already burning fire of hatred by a Sindhi president and Seraiki prime minister, rhis process will be hard to stop.
The sooner you go the better. You can become the Chief Minister of the Seraiki Province. Seraiki Province Zindabad. Salams to Pakistan
