A 24-year-old woman was slaughtered to death by her father for honour in the Baghbapura police limits on Saturday. Police have arrested the accused father along with the knife and removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The victim woman has been identified as Sangeeta Masih, the daughter of Ashraf Masih, resident of Momanpura. SHO Raza said the victim had eloped with her paramour few days back but had returned and then eloped again on Friday night. On Saturday morning, she was asleep in her house when her father cut her jugular vein with a knife. Police after being informed reached the scene and arrested the accused person along with murdering weapon. A case has also been registered against accused person.
