‘Day after tomorrow’ at Alhamra

Punjab Secretary Information and Culture Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani inaugurated eighth Annual Exhibition of Paintings, Sculptures, Ceramics and Graphic Art of young artists on the topic “Day After Tomorrow” at Alhamra Art Gallery, here today. 325 masterpieces of 272 artists were displayed in the exhibition. Prominent artist Saeed Akhtar, Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ali Baloch and a large number of artists were also present on the occasion. Masterpieces of 10 artists displayed in the exhibition, were declared the best. Punjab University Research Centre Assistant Professor Dr Shahida Manzoor, Editorial Board General Journal of Contemporary Art & Culture Member Ayesha Jatoi and National College of Arts Assistant Professor Muhammad Ali Talpur acted as judge. Later, Secretary Information and Culture Mohyuddin Wani distributed certificates and cheques for Rs 10,000 each among the 10 top position holders including Ismaeel Rubab, Koshal Hamal, Maria Khan, Mina Haroon, Natasha Malik, Rafia Butt, Saba Saleem, Sarop Sufi, Tahir Ali and Zara Asghar.
