Stray bullet kills teen

A stray bullet claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl while she was sleeping on the roof of her house in the Shahdra police precincts on Friday.
The police shifted the body to the morgue and registered a case against unknown people. The victim was identified as Ayesha, a resident of Abbas Nagar.
She was sleeping on her rooftop when a stray bullet hit her in her head.
Her parents, alerted by her screams, rushed her to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries a few hours after her admittance.
The local police, after being informed of the incident, reached the scene, collected forensic evidence and shifted the body to the morgue for autopsy.
Woman burnt to death: A 28-year-old woman, who had been burnt in the in the Nawankot police precincts, succumbed to her injuries at a hospital on Friday. The police shifted the body to the morgue for an autopsy after suspecting the involvement of her family members.
The victim identified as Aasia, a resident of Shah Farid Darbar, had been burnt while cooking food on Wednesday. She was rushed to the Mayo Hospital where she died on Friday. She is survived by a widower and a baby girl.
Further investigations into the incident are underway.
