Six injured as roof collapses

As many as six labourers were injured when an under construction building collapsed here, on Thursday, at Friends Colony Misrial Road. The area falls in the limits of Westridge Police Station.
Upon getting information, Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and launched a rescue operation. The rescuers shifted the injured persons to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for medical treatment.
The injured were identified as Naheem, aged 28, Shehaam, Bakht Zada, aged 28, Shakir, aged 30, Majid, aged 20, Zaman and Ameer Manzoor aged 22.
Malik Idrees, started constructing the ground floor of a building in Main Street at Friends Colony four days ago. He then started work on the first floor of the house. The building collapsed when the owner was making the roof of the first floor injuring 6 laborers that were busy working on the ground floor.
