NAB recovers 130 tonnes of stolen railway track

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in collaboration with Railways Police on Thursday raided two private godowns at Misri Shah area and recovered 130 metric tonne railway stolen track. The railway track was stolen from Pakistan Railways installations located on borders of Punjab and Balochistan.
The raiding team was also accompanied by Railway Track Officer Rao Amjad, for identification and technical help. The raid was conducted on specific directions of DG NAB Punjab after the NAB Punjab received information regarding illegal sale of railway scrap. The raiding team took the custody of 130 metric tonnes of scrap and started enquiry.
