Leads University arranges poetry recitation competition


Lahore Leads University’s (LLU) Mass Communication Department arranged an intra-university Poetry Writing and Recitation Competition on Wednesday in which a number of students from different classes contested.
Prominent poets Javaid Shaida, Aeni Raz and Javaid Razi were the judges while LLU Vice Chancellor Professor Khairat Muhammad Ibn-e-Rasa and Executive Rector Mian Zahoor Wattoo were the chief guests. LLU Registrar Arshad Ahmad, admin officer Sheraz and faculty members Prof Tauseef, Prof Babar, Prof Salman Shabir, Prof Amber and Prof Fraaz Mahmud were also present at the occasion.
Students from Bachelors, Masters and MS programmes contested in the competition while BSCS student Umair, BBA student Faiza Ishtiaq and Rushba got first, second and third positions, respectively.
LLU VC congratulated the Department of Mass Communication for arranging a successful poetry recitation competition and appreciated the creative abilities of the students.
Later, the executive rector highlighted the role of educational institutions in polishing the inner abilities of the students and extended his support for further such events.
