The exports of services sector grew by 11.43 percent during the month of February as against last month.
The exports during February 2012 were recorded at US$ 351 million against the exports of US$ 315 in January 2012, according to data of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). The services imports into the country were recorded at $ 621 million in February 2012 against the imports of $.617 million in January 2012, showing an increase of 0.65 per cent.
Services exports for the period July-February, 2011-2012, however witnessed a decrease of 19.58 per cent as against the same period of last fiscal year.
Overall services exports were recorded at $3.252 billion in July-February 2011-12 against the exports of $4.044 billion during July-February 2010-2011.
On the other hand, service imports into the country grew by 7.41 percent by going up from $4.816 billion in July-February 2010-11 to $5.173 billion during the first 8 months of the current year, the data revealed.
