Punjab Teachers Union demands salary increases, regularisation

The Punjab Teachers Union protested for the approval of their charter of demands on Wednesday. The union members staged a demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club to demand 100 percent raise in their salaries. The teachers asked the government to comply with the demands made in their charter of demand.
Their demands included time scale, equivalent to the teachers of the federal government and Balochistan, revision of pay scales, equal pay structure for teachers and regularisation of the contractual teachers. They demanded grade 14 for PST, grade 16 for EST, grade 17 for SST and grade 18 for head masters.
