Dow Alumni Dr Mohammad Ali Jawad, the plastic surgeon who reconstructed the faces of acid burn victims in the country and turned out to be the inspiration for the first Oscar winning film for the country will by honoured by his alma mater.
Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) will confer gold medals and Lifetime Achievement Awards upon Jawad, ‘Saving Face’ co-director Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy and other filmmaking team members at a ceremony on Thursday, said the DUHS spokesman on Wednesday.
