On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, a team of surgeons headed by Prof Tariq Salahuddin has successfully removed Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) from the face of a girl Fakhira after 7 hours long complicated operation. Fakhira, 25 years old, an orphan belonging to Satiana Road, Faisalabad was suffering from this painful disease from last eight years. The CM had directed that a surgery be performed o her last month. Prof Tariq said Fakhira was facing sever agony and pain since last two years due to this problem.
He further said that it was a complicated surgery which was conducted by senior surgeons after a number of medical tests of the patient. The mother of Fakhira, Kaneez Bibi, who has no son, said she was thankful to Punjab CM, hospital administration and doctors as she did not have to spend a single penny on this operation. She also prayed for long life and health of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The patient now has been shifted to ICC where she is in recovery.
