Pakistan‚ Saudi Arabia agree to cement bilateral ties: Khar

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to develop a roadmap of collaboration and cooperation to further strengthen the strategic strong bonds of brotherhood between the two countries. This was stated by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar and Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz at a joint news after their talks in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Hina Rabbani Khar said as strategic partners it is important for us to assist each other in what we commonly want within the region. She said she talked to Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister to use his special favour on Pakistan’s long standing demand of Pakistan-GCC Free Trade Agreement.
Khar said 1.5 million Pakistanis residing and working in Saudi Arabia are contributing positively to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and also to Pakistan by sending remittances. She also said on Afghanistan both sides agreed that peace and stability within Afghanistan is not only important to Pakistan but also to the entire region and to the world.
Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Abdul Aziz Bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz said they discussed a host of issues including strategic matters which are beneficial for both the countries.
