Punjab govt delegation leaves for Iran to sign deals

Punjab government’s nine-member delegation left here for Iran on a week long visit, where they would also be ratifying the agreements made with Iran. Punjab’s senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Khan Khosa, who is leading the delegation, talking to media before departure said that the Punjab government would be providing all sorts of facilities to Iran in the agriculture and industrial sectors besides talks would also be held with Iran relating to the generation of solar energy in the province. Iran’s Consul General Muhammad Hussain Bani Asadi said that his country was aware of the energy situation in Pakistan and could extend cooperation in resolving it. Pakistan and Iran are brotherly countries and the ties between the two countries have recently further strengthened, he said.
