Robbers injured a police inspector with an iron rod after he resisted a robbery bid at his house in Sabzazar police precincts on Saturday.
One of the robbers also sustained bullet injury due to the firing of his accomplice. Police shifted the injured inspector and robber to a local hospital and are conducting raids to arrest fleeing robber.
A police official said two robbers barged into the house of Inspector Naseem and demanded valuables. Inspector Naseem offered resistance over which the robbers attacked him with iron rods. Inspector Naseem captured one of the robbers over which his accomplice opened firing on Inspector. The inspector remained unhurt but the bullet hit his accomplice leaving him injured. After seeing his accomplice injured, the robber escaped from the scene. Local police after being informed reached the scene, collected evidence and shifted the injured persons to a hospital. Police are investigating the injured robber to arrest his accomplice.
