President Asif Ali Zardari called Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and urged him to end
boycott of the parliamentary committees.
According to JUI-F spokesman, President Zardari during telephonic chat lamented the attitude of some outsider women towards Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the parliament and terming it inappropriate also assured action against them.
The president urged the Maulana to participate in the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) meeting and play his role in other parliamentary committees also.
According to the spokesman, Maulana Fazlur Rehman in this telephonic talk said that JUI-F Shoora would take a decision relating to getting back to the parliamentary committees, and he alone could not take any such decision.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that restoration of NATO supply would harm the country and the government should also keep in view the reservations on the bill relating to the proposed law against domestic violence.
