Weight, measurement survey launched

The Punjab Labour Department has launched a weight and measurement survey of shops, industrial and trade institutions, petrol pumps and CNG stations. The purpose of the survey is to collect data of institutions where weight and measurement instruments are used.
This was stated by Punjab Labour Minister Haji Ehsaan-ul-Din Qureshi while talking to various delegations of labourers. He added that the Punjab was ahead of other provinces in its efforts to wipe out child labour with the cooperation of the International Labour Organisation, adding that child labour in the district had been eliminated and that the labour department had launched a new programme in various districts for addressing the problem.
Wildlife department holds training session on animal poaching: The Punjab Wildlife Department, organised a training session on the ‘Capturing of animals and their transporting’, in collaboration with the Lahore Zoo, at the Lahore Zoo Safari on Friday.
Deputy Director Naeem Bhatti, Dr Mudassar, Dr Riffat Sulman, Shafqat Ali, Mudassar Hassan, Babar Ali and Shakeel Ahmad were the trainers. 30 Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Wildlife departments’ employees, as well as the University of Veterinary Sciences students attended the training session.
