Nida Ali, one of Karachi’s most promising and upcoming designers, recently showcased her Rang Barsay collection at Brands Just Pret, the city’s newest and most exciting multi brand store at Dolmen Mall, Clifton. Rang Barsay is Nida Ali’s Spring/Summer line and is based on a riot of colours, patterns and graphics. The collection is based on a vibrant and distinctive colour palette ranging from a bright red to a blush pink to a canary yellow. These colours are based on international predictions of runway trends, which Nida Ali has translated into her Spring/Summer line. “This collection is one of my favourites because it’s exciting and vibrant,” said Nida Ali, the designer who has been designing since 2007. “The idea was to create clothes based on detailing and minimal but effective embellishments.” The Rang Barsay collection has more than 20 designs, with varying shirt lengths but overall the shirt length has become shorter, explained the designer.
