Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday said his party was striving to get rid from corruption, load shedding, price hike and unemployment and not for the sake of power. In an interview with a private TV channel, Khan said both the PPP and the PML-N were safeguarding their own interests and were doing nothing for the welfare of the common man. He said the country’s sovereignty was at stake as both the ruling and opposition parties could not afford to disobey the United States. He said his party was not struggling for the sake of power but to provide relief to the deprived class of the society.
Khan said he was optimistic that the PTI would win the next general elections as people would reject all corrupt leaders and their parties. He also said his party would provide solution to masses problem at their doorsteps. The PTI chief said youth were the asset of his party and they would not be “trapped” by the Punjab government’s “laptop scheme”. He said the PTI was being strengthened, adding that the PPP, PML-N, PML-Q would face defeat even if they jointly contested in the general elections against it. He said both the PPP and the PML-N were responsible of all problems like load shedding, corruption, lawlessness and unemployment and both parties would stand accountable after the election.
