The newly appointed Punjab Institute of Cardiology Chief Executive Prof Dr Bilal Zakria took charge of his new responsibilities on Friday. Dr Zakria inspected various departments of the PIC.
PIC Medical Superintendent Dr Muhammad Javed also accompanied him during the inspection and briefed him about different matters regarding the hospital.
Dr Zakria stressed the need to provide premium health care facilities to patients in a systematic manner.
He said the hospital administration, doctors and paramedical staff should work as a dedicated team to improve the image of the hospital.
He said Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is paying special attention to the health sector and has issued special directions for improving the PIC’s performance.
The chief executive resolved to improve the performance of the institution by following the advice of the chief minister in letter and spirit.
Whilst I congratulate you on your new appointment I am also mindful of the difficult task ahead of you. May God give you success in your en-devours to improve the working standards and practices in Punjab Institute of Cardiology.
