‘Ensure facilities at exam centres’

In compliance with the directives of Sindh chief minister, Karachi Commissioner Roshan Ali Shaikh has instituted a surveillance committee to keep a strict vigil on the availability of all required facilities at the designated examination centres for candidates appearing in secondary school examinations.
The committed headed by Additional Commissioner Abdul Wahab Soomro will also ensure that no violation of rules and regulations set by Karachi Board of Secondary Schools is allowed at the places.
For the purpose, the committee itself and the approved teams, including assistant commissioners among other senior officials from different districts of Karachi, have also been authorised to pay surprise visits to the examination centres.
The Karachi commissioner also asked the city police officials to facilitate the officials on their visits.
The vigilance committee itself would be responsible to submit its report on daily basis to the provincial chief minister.
