Frontier Women University and Sargodha University reached the final of the All Pakistan Intervarsity Women Football Championship being played at Islamabad. The major upset in the semi-final was stage as Frontier Women University and Sargodha University outclassed LUMS and defending championship Punjab University to kept their hopes alive for the championship crown and reaches in the final of the championship here at H-12, Islamabad organised by National University of Science & Technology. The first semi-final match was played Sargodha University and Punjab University. The favourite of the match Punjab University played well but Sargodha striker proved their best to show to unbelievable victory against Punjab by 4-3 on the penalty kicks. In the second semi-final, Frontier Women University beat LUMS by 1-0 and reaches the final against Sargodha University. The 3rd & 4th Position Match will be played between LUMS and Punjab University while the final of the championship will be played at 9.30 am on April 6. Engineer Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Pro – Rector NUST will be the Chief Guest on the Awarding Ceremony of the Championship.
