Imran urges CJP to take bold decisions against corrupt rulers

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday came down hard upon criticism of the Supreme Court by Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari at Naudero, and urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take bold decisions on all the corruption cases against the corrupt rulers, including the prime minister’s contempt case.
Talking to the media here, Imran Khan said President Zardari and his cronies openly resorted to contempt of court by using abusive language in Naudero.
He said the whole nation fully backs the Supreme Court to take bold decisions against the corrupt leaders, adding that all the problems facing the country, including the load-shedding, are the result of corruption of the rulers.
Imran was of the view that many problems of the country could be resolved if transparent accountability was made against the corrupt rulers.
The PTI chief said there was no difference between the PML-N and PPP, as both are power hungry. He said the PML-N staged the drama of boycotting the meetings of Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), but changed its stance with a single call of the prime minister.
He said the PTI believes in the politics of principles. He said the PTI will give party tickets to honest people only. “It will not be possible for anyone to escape after violating Pakistan’s sovereignty if PTI is in power,” Imran said.
He also said that the PTI will protect the national sovereignty at all costs.
