The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday came down hard upon criticism of the Supreme Court by Bilawal and Asif Ali Zardari at Naudero, and urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take bold decisions on all the corruption cases against the corrupt rulers, including the prime minister’s contempt case.
Talking to the media here, Imran Khan said President Zardari and his cronies openly resorted to contempt of court by using abusive language in Naudero.
He said the whole nation fully backs the Supreme Court to take bold decisions against the corrupt leaders, adding that all the problems facing the country, including the load-shedding, are the result of corruption of the rulers.
Imran was of the view that many problems of the country could be resolved if transparent accountability was made against the corrupt rulers.
The PTI chief said there was no difference between the PML-N and PPP, as both are power hungry. He said the PML-N staged the drama of boycotting the meetings of Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS), but changed its stance with a single call of the prime minister.
He said the PTI believes in the politics of principles. He said the PTI will give party tickets to honest people only. “It will not be possible for anyone to escape after violating Pakistan’s sovereignty if PTI is in power,” Imran said.
He also said that the PTI will protect the national sovereignty at all costs.

  2. It does not auger well for our judiciary when politicians start 'supporting' or
'advising' the judges . Imran appears to have good intentions but the unintended
result of his statement is undermining the image of judiciary . A certain aloofness
from politicians is an absolute requirement for the judiciary to function properly .

    • The system is not working due the law and order. Definitely IMran is right, that the Pakistani nation will stand by Judiciary when they take the bold steps against corruption. Imran is 100% right.

  3. History tells us that when Judiciary fails to deliver then the peoples power provide justice french revolution is one such example

  4. Oakistani politics, obviously you are very ignorant of Imran's statements on the issue of Nato supply. A simple google search will give you the asnwer to your question. Only recently, he openly questioned the benefit of re-opening the supply line in a TV programme. Please do not take out the frustration of your ignorance on others.

  8. Since the advent of independent judiciary in our Republic, hardly anything has changed, in particular,Corruption.Instead of cutting the springboard and fountainhead of corruption. Our judiciary has wasted both public patience and goodwill. Since it failed to come up with quick, effective and above all even handed decisions with full force. It has disappointed public at large.Imran would be wise to get rid of current lot of judges and even hang some of them for corruption once he comes into power.

  9. This rant by the boy chairman is most deplorable and despicable. He studied British History and then transitioned to study modern history in Oxford. He should be well aware of the consequences of using such rhetoric.

BBC correspondent Jeremy Paxman asked him if PPP was a political party or a part of family furniture which has been handed down to him. Both father and son must stop treating state institutions of Pakistan as 'family furniture'.
