Punjab, Sargodha, Frontier Women, Peshawar and LUMS universities attain victories in the All Pakistan Intervarsity Women’s Football Championship 2011-12 being played at Islamabad.
In the first match of the last day of Preliminary round Frontier, Women University outclassed LCW University by 2-0. Sadia Rauf & Salma secured one goal each. Karachi University beat Sargodha University by 1-0. Farha Tayyaba the only goal scorer.
Defending Champion Punjab defeated Islamia University Bhawalpur by 7-1. Zaiba Manzoor 3 goals, Sobia 2 goals, Aliya & Bushra 1 goal each.
Punjab, Sargodha, Frontier and LUMS have qualified for the semi finals which will be held on 5th April 2012 at 0800 hrs and 0930 hrs respectively.
