The PML-N on Tuesday held a protest against load shedding, inflation and fuel price hike at Main Ferozpur Road. Small groups of people gathered at Steel Bagh Chowk and reached Main Ferozpur Road to start the protest. Led by MNA Sheikh Waseem Akhtar, MPA Naeem Safdar Ansari, youth wing leader Tanveer Ahmed Khan, Mudasar Nawaz and Imtiaz Ahmed, the protesters blocked the road for more than three hours. They burnt tyres and raised slogans against President Asif Ali Zardari. Speakers said that the PPP-led government was looting Pakistan from both hands because it was the last year of their power and wanted to collect maximum money for the next general elections. They said that the easiest way to make money for Zardari was to increase fuel prices but it had destroyed the country’s economy.
