40 documentaries compete in 5th Vasakh Film Festival at FCCU

The second day of Vasakh brought the contestant documentaries on the screen. The event started with the brief recap of yesterday’s program. There were a total of forty-two documentaries shown at the second stage of the competition. Many noted institutions from outside Lahore took part in the contest. These institutions included GCU; Faisalabad, University of Sargodha, University of Peshawar and Islamiya University Bahawarpur. GCU;Faislabad contributed one documentary “The hidden stories”, Univrsity of Sargodha sent in five, University of Peshawar had four and Islamiya University of Bahawarpur sent seven. Some films and documentaries from Little Angel Children Festival, organized by an NGO were also showcased. These short films and documentaries were made for children, said Mr. Amjad Nauman who represented the NGO at the event. “One rat short”, “Shhh” ,“Big plans” and “Apples” were among the few shorts films showcased. Three documentaries from the host university brought the second day of Vasakh to its end including “How to impress girls” a short film, made by Formanites really got the audience going. Students from many participating institutions graced the occasion with their presence.
