President Asif Ali Zardari is likely to visit Punjab on Wednesday (tomorrow) and would address the Pakistan People’s Party Punjab parliamentary session.
It is the first visit of President Zardari after Senate election in March, in which the PPP-backed candidate from Punjab Aslam Gill was defeated.
Party sources said Zardari would address the members of provincial assembly at the Governor’s House.
They said the president would also address the leaders in connection with Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’ death anniversary.
He would also meet party leadership and workers and discuss a number of issues.
A number of provincial level leaders would convey the problems of party workers and provincial members.
The case of Aslam Gill’s defeat is also likely to be taken up.
Our President has visited Dubai and London more times during his tenure than visiting Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta or even Larkana . This is in sharp contrast to Zulfiqar ali Bhutto and BB's priority to keep in touch with their constituency. So unfortunate, but sadly true.
welcome to zardai,
